FAQ: WARD Enters Its Revenue Era - Governance Proposal

Warden Protocol · 09-10-2026

We’re thankful for all the feedback and questions since we published the WARD Revenue Era governance proposal.

We've been answering as many as we can across X, Telegram and Discord, and some of the questions keep coming up, so we've gathered them in one place.

Below are clear, factual answers on the migration, supply, inflation, the vote and what it means for you as a holder or staker.

If you don't see your question here, ask us on our official channels and we’ll do our best to update it here for others as well.

Frequently asked questions

Question: What is the proposal?
Answer: WARD migrates 1:1 from Warden Chain to an omnichain token, with Base as its main chain and BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain supported from day one. Max supply gets a 2B cap, inflation drops from 10% to 5% for stakers only, and product fees buy back and burn WARD.

Question: Is anything changing right now?
Answer: No. Until the vote passes, Warden Chain and staking run as normal.

Question: Do I need to do anything?
Answer: No. If the vote passes, your WARD moves 1:1 automatically. Same ticker, same balance. No claim, no registration, no fee.

Question: I'm staking. What happens to my WARD?
Answer: Nothing you need to act on. Staked WARD, unbonding WARD and rewards all carry over 1:1. Staked WARD is also what votes on the proposal.

Question: My WARD is on an exchange. What do I do?
Answer: Nothing. You'll receive your new tokens. Supporting exchanges briefly pause WARD deposits and withdrawals around the migration, then credit you 1:1. We'll share the list of exchanges as soon as it's confirmed.

Question: Where will my new WARD be?
Answer: WARD on Warden Chain or Base becomes WARD on Base. WARD on BNB Chain stays on BNB Chain, and WARD on Robinhood Chain stays on Robinhood Chain. New contract addresses are published only on official channels.

Question: Who can vote, and when?
Answer: WARD stakers on Warden Chain, from 10 to 14 Oct 2026, at staking.wardenprotocol.org. If you don't vote, your validator's vote counts for your stake.

Question: When does the migration happen?
Answer: If the vote passes, we share the dates right away. If it fails, there's no migration and no new tokenomics.

Question: Isn't a 2B max supply double the 1B?
Answer: No. 1B was the supply at launch. Staking rewards have grown total supply to ~1.06B, and today there's no maximum at all. The proposal adds a 2B ceiling, written into the contract, and total supply stays the same at migration.

Question: Why a 2B cap and not 1B?
Answer: The cap leaves room for staking rewards for many years, instead of today's unlimited supply. Burns from product fees push supply the other way.

Question: Why do CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap show 1B?
Answer: They still show launch data. Our docs are the source of truth, and we'll submit updated data to both after the migration.

Question: What happens to inflation?
Answer: It drops from 10% to 5%, and all new WARD goes to stakers. No validator payments.

Question: How do burns work?
Answer: Warden products earn fees on every transaction. A share of those fees buys WARD on the open market and burns it.

Question: Why leave Warden Chain?
Answer: Chains don't make the money. Apps do. Base and BNB Chain already have the users, liquidity and exchanges. Moving there ends validator inflation and lets the team focus fully on products.

Question: Is Warden shutting down or moving away from AI?
Answer: No. We're doubling down on Warden Token Terminal, Warden Buffett and Halo, with more to come.

Question: What are WARD Drops, and when is $GREED?
Answer: WARD Drops are monthly drops of ecosystem tokens to WARD stakers. The first, $GREED, lands about 4 weeks after the migration.

Question: What happens to validators?
Answer: Warden Chain validators and node operators get priority for roles on Halo and across Warden. Details go to each of them directly.

Question: How do I stay safe?
Answer: There's nothing to claim. Anyone asking you to connect a wallet outside wardenprotocol.org is a scammer. Official updates only come from x.com/wardenprotocol, t.me/warden_news and wardenprotocol.org.
