Marching Towards Mainnet with Chiado: Warden Protocol's Latest Testnet

Today, we're excited to announce the launch of Chiado, Warden Protocol’s newest testnet!

Building on the remarkable success of our Buenavista testnet—which saw nearly 1 million weekly transactions and over 1 million wallets—Chiado introduces a suite of groundbreaking features that further cement Warden's position as the convergence stack for blockchain & AI. This latest development marks a significant leap towards our highly anticipated mainnet release. 

Chiado represents a crucial milestone in our journey towards mainnet launch. This new testnet demonstrates our commitment to building a robust, feature-rich ecosystem that empowers developers to create better, stronger and faster  AI applications. By incorporating advanced features like full omnichain interoperability, intents, keychains, and enshrined oracles, we're redefining what’s possible at the convergence of AI and blockchain.

Chiado also brings EVM compatibility to WARD, allowing users to connect with MetaMask, OKX wallet, Coinbase wallet, and other leading EVM wallets. This means users can achieve seamless integration between Warden Protocol and the broader DeFi space, which is primarily driven by ERC-20 tokens. 

Here’s what you can expect from Chiado as we pave the way for the next evolution of AI and blockchain convergence:

Dual VM Architecture: Chiado now supports EVM Solidity contracts alongside CosmWasm, greatly expanding the possibilities for developers on the protocol. This dual VM architecture makes it easier to integrate AI inferences with smart contracts, and users can now connect directly with EVM wallets—broadening both developer utility and end usability. WARD will also become a wrapped EVM gas token, which will allow for better support and adoption on mainnet.

Consensus AI Readiness: By laying the groundwork for AI integration at the consensus level, Chiado makes it possible for AIBI’s AI-based inferences and decisions to be directly incorporated into the blockchain's execution layer. This capability positions Warden as the convergence stack for blockchain and AI. 

Mainnet Asset Support Readiness: Warden has also made significant strides in preparing Chiado for diverse mainnet assets integration (instead of testnet assets). This ensures that as we transition to mainnet, developers will have a smooth experience bringing their projects from test environments into live deployments.

Enshrined Price Feed Oracles: Chiado introduces consensus-validated price feed oracles to Warden, ensuring reliable, accurate data essential to a vast range of DeFi applications. This feature reinforces our commitment to creating a dependable infrastructure that supports complex, data-driven applications within DeFi and beyond.

Enhanced SpaceWard Experience: Chiado introduces significant upgrades to SpaceWard, Warden's flagship omnichain application. With a host of new features and a sleek, user-friendly interface, as well as including EVM wallet support, these improvements showcase the mass appeal potential of omnichain applications built on Warden.
