The next chapter for Warden Protocol
The next chapter for Warden Protocol
Today, two updates from Warden.
The Warden Protocol and the WARD token continue forward under a dedicated new foundation, with sharper focus on launching Halo, and a bigger commitment to the mission than ever before. The Warden App is moving to a new home with a new team.
These are separate stories. Both are good news for the protocol. Here's why.
The mission gets bigger
Warden Protocol exists to make intelligence verifiable and decentralised. That mission has not changed. What changes today is how much of our energy goes into it.
We're standing up the Warden Foundation, a dedicated team of core contributors focused entirely on the protocol, the Halo roadmap, and the future of WARD. Same vision. A laser focus team, with a unique mission.
The agentic economy is being built right now. The infrastructure underneath it should not be controlled by a handful of companies. Verifiable computation. Decentralised intelligence. On-chain coordination. That is the layer Warden is here to build.
We are just getting started.
Doubling down on Halo
Halo is Warden's peer-to-peer compute marketplace for AI. Anyone with a machine, a Mac Mini, an idle gaming rig, an Ollama server, can run inference jobs and earn USDC, while the protocol ignites the WARD demand and a deflationary flywheel. Every result is cryptographically verified through SPEX, so requesters can trust the output without trusting the operator. The mesh runs on Base, settles in seconds, and gives agents a way to buy inference from a global network instead of a single provider.

Over the next weeks you will see:
More detail on the Halo architecture and rollout
Deeper integrations across multiple chains
The Warden Foundation team of contributors and structure
Updates on token utility tied to protocol activity
We will publish more in the open.
The Warden App moves on
The Warden App, our consumer-facing trading and agent platform, is being acquired by the BasedAI team. The full app team is moving with it.
This exciting transition will happen over the coming days. App users will get direct communication from BasedAI about what changes are ahead for the App.
For app users: there is nothing you need to do right now. Warden App is fully self-custodial. Your funds stay in your wallet, controlled by your keys, exactly as they were yesterday. No migration, no claim window, no action required. Keep using the app as normal, and keep an eye on what’s sure to be an exciting roadmap.
The Foundation can now move without splitting attention between a consumer product and core infrastructure. That focus is what gets us to Halo, to a peer-to-peer decentralised inference network, and to a verifiable AI layer that scales.
What this changes for WARD holders
Your token is unaffected. The roadmap is unaffected. The team behind the protocol is more focused than it has ever been.
If you're in the community: there is more work coming, and more to build with us. We will keep you posted as the Foundation announces team members, partners, and milestones over the coming weeks.
The mission is intelligence that is decentralised and verifiable. That mission now has the dedicated team it deserves.
